NRDB Search Help - Field Guide Sequence
Specifying Field Guide Sequence causes your search results to be sorted the way certain field guides are arranged. Currently, this applies only to Birds, and the sort sequence matches that of the American Ornithologists' Union's "The A.O.U. Checklist of North American Birds Seventh Edition ©". If you select Field Guide Sequence and your search returns anything other than Birds, the results will be sorted by Scientific Name and will appear before all the Birds.
